Fall is one of my favorite seasons ever! It is a time where all of the senses are heightened: pumpkin spice candles, changing leaves, and pumpkin flavored cookies, kisses... you name it. I love it, all of those small fall traditions just make me so happy! And now sharing this season with my amazing husband and beautiful daughter, it really couldn't get any better.

Fall Fun!
Aaron, Cordy, and I all enjoyed conference! It was really amazing, all of the speaker's messages were so powerful. After conference we took a drive up through Nebo's loop, and it was beautiful. Cordy loved the leaves, ate a few rocks...lol. It has been a tradition every year for the past 4 years, and it was so fun to take Cordy to enjoy our favorite season!

A little update
So Cordy is now an official crawler. She is a little bit slower right now than her original "army crawl" but no doubt within a week she'll be zoomin' around. She is pulling up herself onto everything possible, so I have learned to stay within arms reach of her, to prevent most falls. And she's been pinching all of her food, which I love. Ha, I feel like a dork, the first time I saw her pinching her cheerios I started clapping and was so excited for her. I had to laugh after because I would have never seen myself 3 years ago getting so genuinely excited about something so small :)
And my favorite thing she does, that just melts both Aaron and I, is when we clap and say "yay" she smiles and starts clapping her two hands together. It is so adorable.
Two days ago we celebrated Aaron's 25th birthday! I made him breakfast in bed (his favorite, sausage and gravy biscuits)and when he came home for dinner we had talapia, smashed garlic sweet potatoes, and asparagus. It was delicious. And Aaron has been wanting these cupcakes for the last two years! I finally gave into the massive food coloring project, lol, but they were really fun to make, and they were yummy. Cordy even got to try them, and she loved them! (ha, but that is obvious, it is sugar.)

And overall, life is just awesome.

The fruits of my labors :)
So since Aaron and I have been married, somehow every room in our house is based on the color red. I love the color, but seriously I feel like my home revolves around my wedding cake..... So I decided to makeover our bedroom. I have been crafting all summer and these are some of the things I've done.
I just got rid of everything red, and we already had a brown comforter, so I didn't have to spend too much. I decided to use a pretty turquoise-blue and bright sage-green (the green is a lot prettier in person). And I went to town on making pillows, and the curtains are a work in progress, and a mirror and frames! I am so proud of myself for honestly making everything but the sheets, in our revamped room! It still has some work, but it feels so much more relaxing than a bold red.

Surprise!
So for Labor Day Aaron and I decided that it would be fun to go to El Paso for the weekend and surprise my family. It was so much fun! We had to tell my dad about it before hand, so they wouldn't make any big plans, but he told us where my mom and him would be walking when we got in, so we parked a little bit ahead of them and started walking towards them, and my mom freaked out. It was so cute, she was so happy to have us there. And even it was a long drive, the short trip was so worth it.
We were able to spend time with Kristen, Creighton, and Haiden too! Which we all loved. It was a weekend full of relaxation, games, and fun! I miss them all so much already.

Summer time

So this last Sunday, Aaron and I took Cordy to the Temple. She loved the water fountain, and all of the colorful flowers! And of course I had a blast taking pictures of her!!
She kept trying to eat the flowers and grass.
This is a typical Cordy face :)
We couldn't get her to look at us, her eyes were glued to the fountain.
Daddy and Cordy are such good little buddies.

Hot, Crazy-Busy July
Wow so lots has happened, and I will just recap the last few weeks :)

Aaron's family came in town and saw Cordy for the first time! It was way fun.

We also went to Yellowstone while they were here.

Cordy now says mamamamama and bla, la, habla... haha it's too cute

My mom , sister, and I had a huge bow/girl accessory party which was a ton of work, but so worth it ;)Check out our blog DarlingDaisyBowtique.blogpot.com, and our facebook group.

Cordy got a jumper (thank heavens) because she is moving non-stop.
I went home for a full week with the little munchkin, and enjoyed every minute of it! (Pictures coming soon)

Oh to create!
Lately I have had a major craft overload, and have loved every minute of it. My last class I am finishing up seems far less important, and I take advantage of every nap Cordy takes. Seriously I need some sort of income to help feed this new addiction: it has been so much fun. I think the most rewarding aspect of it all is seeing something made more beautiful, lively, and homey all from my own hands!
Aaron has been such a good sport about it too. On Saturday I was finishing up two little projects and in order to finish one I needed a special type of glue, and Aaron volunteered to go get it (mind you it was 1:00 am, and I was planning on waiting for Monday). He couldn't stand not seeing it finished, what a cutie.
But I finally have to slow down because the funds have run dry for now :( I was using my birthday money, and I couldn't have found a way to spend it that could have made me any happier! I have definitely let my creative side flow, and I seriously can't go to sleep without ideas running through my head dealing with fabric, frames, paint, pictures, hot glue, ribbon, canvas, mod podge <3... and countless other things.
I have always loved creating things, and I am so glad that I am expanding on my hobbies. I am loving our home!

A Great Birthday

So this year for my birthday, I wasn't expecting too much. Since I have been up here for school, I have either gone home for my birthday or my sister has been up here to make me a cake and a birthday dinner. We have taken care of each other (birthday-wise) for the past few years. Now with Kristen gone, and Aaron works long hours and is doing research for school, I didn't expect much.
But my wonderful husband exceeded my expectations. He came home for lunch and brought me those pretty flowers. Then he came home in between work and research, and made me yummy cordon bleau burgers, and then in between research shifts he brought me home a german chocolate cake and birthday cake ice cream. It was the sweetest thing :), he even set off the smoke detectors when lighting my candles. He definitely made my day.

My two loves!
I can't believe that Aaron and I have already been married for two years!! It is nothing like I could have ever expected--so much better. Through many ups and downs, he has been absolutely amazing for me. He treats me so well and I love him soooo soooooo much! I have learned so much about a committed and loving relationship from him.
Honestly I couldn't have found a greater man to spend forever with! We had to postpone celebrating our anniversary, because we had just got back from San Diego (which we kind of count as our anniversary present <3). But we went out to eat at Olive Garden, and we took the little munchkin with us.
Things are so different now with Cordy around, but so fun. She is such a good baby, and she is so sweet. It has been so fun to see her relationship with her Daddy grow. I love watching the two of them. He will play with her, and she will give him the biggest smiles, and giggles (mind you, she only giggles for her daddy). And he has gotten really good at putting her to sleep at night, which mommy loves.
But yesterday I was looking at pregnancy pictures, and hospital pictures, and it made me so sad. I can't believe how much my little girl has already grown these past four months. I remember so vividly, waiting and waiting for her to come. I loved feeling every little kick and nudge, and just wondering what she would look like, and what life would be like with her. And now, I want so badly for time to slow down! I can't get enough of her giggles and smiles, or cuddle time with her.
I really had no idea what marriage, or having a baby would be like. I pictured things going so smoothly and perfectly. But although I never knew life could be so challenging, I never knew it could be SOOO rewarding, so full of love, and so full of happiness.

I love my little family so much.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Well first off on April 18th our little angel was blessed. She looked absolutely beautiful. My brother and sister in-law were able to come to the blessing, as well as my younger sister and parents. She was so good during the whole thing; and her daddy was pretty nervous before hand, but he did an amazing job. Oh how I love my little family.
And yes, I finally graduated! After five years at school, and having my little munchkin I finally did it. I now have a degree in English and a minor in editing. It has been an amazing 5 years; and I have absolutely loved BYU.

And then my family had a reunion in San Diego. We had so much fun. We stayed at an amazing house on the beach, where we had an awesome view. The week definitely went by way too fast. Cordy got to meet her cousins Jovi and Elise for the first time, and she got to go to the beach and Sea World too.
