Sunday Walk

We have church this year at 1:30, so it gives us plenty of time to do what we want...a little too much actually. But yesterday we decided to walk to the duck pond to get some of the little miss' energy out. We has a blast watching her chase the ducks and eat the bread she was supposed to give them--she is so full of life!

Oh and yes, I did cut her bangs waaaayyyy tooooo short, but please don't tell her :) Thankfully they will grow, but part of me likes them like this, because they are such a little-girl cut, instead of swooping adult bangs that get in her eyes all of the time.

First Photo Shoot!!

I am sooo excited, this week I had my first real photo shoot--that is, paying one anyways. It was so fun. I took her to one of my favorite locations (I only know of a few good ones :) and we had a blast. I was really nervous at first, but things went great. She just needed a headshot for her business card, but it was still a great experience. Here are a couple of the pictures.

Good Deed

So yesterday it was just the little miss and me all day long. Aaron went to a wedding in Vegas with his little brother. Because I knew Aaron was probably enjoying himself I felt justified to go to Pizzahut :) We drove to the store and waited in the drive-thru. While we were waiting I looked across the busy, four lane street and noticed two little kids trying to cross the road--they would take a step out and then get nervous and run back. I felt terrible knowing I couldn't help them because Cordy was in the car, and I would have to leave her to run across the street. Within a minute of me noticing them, I saw a bus coming very slowly down the road. At first I thought he was stopping to let them cross, but then he pulled over, ran out of the bus and over to them and walked them across the street. I was shocked, and so grateful that there are wonderful people like him out there. I kept thinking did he have to announce it on the bus? I hope all the passengers were glad he stopped instead of mad about being put a minute or two behind schedule. I tried to remember his bus number so I could call UTA and tell them what a wonderful and caring driver they have, but I forgot the number on the way home, despite my efforts to repeat it over and over. So this is my little way of thanking him--by sharing his story and hope that I will do the same.

On a different note, this week we had a lot of fun with the little one.

She now folds her arms every time we sit down to eat, and sometimes just randomly throughout the day, so we say little prayers all day long :)
She is very smart and whenever we start counting she says "teee" when we get to three <3
And that little angel girl still LOVES clothes. She puts anything and everything on her head, around her neck and she loves hats :)

Spring!

I can't believe that spring is almost here! Today the little miss and I went on a walk and we could have worn short sleeves! It was amazing--I actually swatted a mosquito off of me. But I am not complaining, I love it (not the mosquito though). Yesterday my lovely cousin came over and we made some adorable spring wreaths...the weather had to be on account of this

Hobbies Hobbies Hobbies

So I literally have a plethora of hobbies that I have gradually acquired over my almost 24 years of life. I love all of them, and I wish there was more time in a day where I could do all of them! The one thing about having so many hobbies, is that I don't have too much time to get better at one single hobby. But lately I have been focusing on just one, well maybe for the most part anyways. I LOVE photography, and I always have. My problem was I just didn't really ever work on it. While taking some computer and humanities classes years ago I fell in love with photoshop. Not because you can literally change a whole image, by completely changing the way a person looks, but more because by adjusting certain things a photo can be taken up 100 levels! I didn't have too much time over the years to work on this hobby, but I just can't resist anymore. I have been lucky enough to have my own little model this past year to take thousands of photos of, but now I am expanding!

The reason that this has just exploded in my mind is that last week I got a call from my sister telling me how her husband (who is a great photographer) took some wedding photos for his friend a few years ago, and now his little brother is getting married and wanted him to take his photos. And seeing how they now live in Texas that would be next to impossible, they asked if he knew anyone else that would be interested. He gave them my name! I was shocked, and a big ball of nervousness lodged in my stomach, but at the same time I was honestly elated! I couldn't stop smiling, and thinking about what shots I would do, if I could do them....yada yada yada. I have never been so excited about a hobby--ever. So now, even though I am still super nervous, I have a few months to work on this wonderful hobby! And even if this for some reason falls through I am so glad it has given me the drive to work on this!
