My two loves!

I can't believe that Aaron and I have already been married for two years!! It is nothing like I could have ever expected--so much better. Through many ups and downs, he has been absolutely amazing for me. He treats me so well and I love him soooo soooooo much! I have learned so much about a committed and loving relationship from him.
Honestly I couldn't have found a greater man to spend forever with! We had to postpone celebrating our anniversary, because we had just got back from San Diego (which we kind of count as our anniversary present <3). But we went out to eat at Olive Garden, and we took the little munchkin with us.
Things are so different now with Cordy around, but so fun. She is such a good baby, and she is so sweet. It has been so fun to see her relationship with her Daddy grow. I love watching the two of them. He will play with her, and she will give him the biggest smiles, and giggles (mind you, she only giggles for her daddy). And he has gotten really good at putting her to sleep at night, which mommy loves.
But yesterday I was looking at pregnancy pictures, and hospital pictures, and it made me so sad. I can't believe how much my little girl has already grown these past four months. I remember so vividly, waiting and waiting for her to come. I loved feeling every little kick and nudge, and just wondering what she would look like, and what life would be like with her. And now, I want so badly for time to slow down! I can't get enough of her giggles and smiles, or cuddle time with her.
I really had no idea what marriage, or having a baby would be like. I pictured things going so smoothly and perfectly. But although I never knew life could be so challenging, I never knew it could be SOOO rewarding, so full of love, and so full of happiness.

I love my little family so much.

Overnight

I can't believe the change that has come overnight! Just today Cordy started trying to pull herself to sit up. She will fuss if I lay her down, and then crunch her stomach while she balls up her little fists by her mouth. O it is so cute. But now If I try to sit her up against the corner of the couch she tries to lean even farther forward and falls over. It is insane how fast that came.
She has also started to stare intently at her swing mobile, and loves colors. She is gaining so much personality, it has been so fun!

The Little Pumpkin

Hooray for April. Aaron and I were able to go on our first date yesterday since Cordy has been born. I had no idea how much we needed it. Kristen just called us up and offered to watch her for the evening. So we drove up to West Jordan and dropped Cordy off to play with her cousin Haiden.

Aaron and I took off to the Jordan River temple, the first time we have been back there since we got married!! It brought back such good memories, to see all of the same flowers in bloom, and to see the fountain we took pictures in front of two years ago! After the temple Aaron took me to Iggy's. I had never been there before and we had so much fun. We sat at the bar because otherwise we would have to wait for a while, and we had a little bit of a "my funky valentine" moment from Modern Family. Oh how I love my husband! He is so good to me.

Cordy has recently started making sooo many more noises which have been absolutely adorable. She'll make loud noises that sound like whoa, or high pitched oooo's. She is an absolute doll.
She has also started using her hands a lot more now. She sucks on her fists and tries repeatedly to fit them both in her mouth. The other day she even found her hair. She had a fistful of it and wide eyed she didn't move, I think she realized something was hurting her but she couldn't figure out what it was. Ooo our little angel.

Spring

Cordy's Easter dress!! and cousin Haiden's mittens: she scratches her face too much.

She loves watching tv with daddy, especially basketball, her eyes are always glued to the screen.

Cordy was caught trying to sneak to work with Daddy!

Cordy looks huge next to her new cousin.
This is what happens when mommy forgets to comb Cordy's hair down after her bath!!! haha oh she's too cute!!!

We are soooo excited for this warm weather! Aaron's Mom has been here the past few days, to see her first grandchild for the first time! We have loved having her visit (especially Cordy); it's going to be sad to see her go.

New Cousin

Cordy has a new cousin! We are all so excited for Kristen and Creighton, and their new little angel, Haiden Cooper. He is so precious. Kristen had an amazingly fast delivery (three pushes) and her little angel was here! They make such a beautiful family.

My parents came up to help Kristen out around the house and such, and Aaron and I didn't want to make the trip back to Provo Sunday night, so we had a sleepover. It was nice not having to drive home, but Cordy had to borrow everything of Haiden's. I guess I didn't realize everything that she would have to borrow: and outfit, socks, bath stuff, lotion, burp rags, diapers... and the list goes on. She even had a major accident in one of his new outfits (she had to initiate it for him), so we figured she must not like blue too much. But it has been so fun having family around, and seeing my little sister with a baby is so crazy, but fun!

Today was the first Sunday Cordy had a successful day at church! I think Aaron and I are slowly getting better at recognizing this little one's needs to keep her happy! This is the little dress Aaron bought for her when I was about seven months pregnant. I had a little bit of an emotional breakdown because he hadn't bought anything for her...(I know, ridiculous hormones). But the great daddy and husband that he is, he had fun shopping by himself and picking out this little dress for our little angel.

Too fast!

I can't believe Cordy is going on 7 weeks old!! She has been such a good baby. Lately, she loves her baths and she is starting to smile, and we have even gotten a few tiny giggles out of her! ahh how it melts our hearts.

She was having a hard time sleeping so we got her a swing, which she loves, but i have such a hard time using it sometimes because I just know she's going to grow up too fast, and I can't get enough of her!

With a mother from Texas and her dad a country boy, she just had to have a pair of boots, and not just any boots, but John Deere's. They are a little big for her, but she'll grow into them.

She's here!!

So three weeks ago yesterday we welcomed our little angel into the world. Talk about the most amazing experience ever.
Early Monday morning, the 25th, I started having contractions. I wasn't sure if they were the real thing or not, but they persisted all day long, and around 4 o'clock they were coming about every five to seven minutes. We waited as long as I could (I am ashamed to say we had to finish the episode of the Bachelor before we left for the hospital). After an hour of monitoring me, unfortunately nothing had changed, so they gave me a shot of morphine and sent me home. That was the longest night ever. I couldn't sleep because the contractions were too painful, but I didn't want to go to the hospital again just to have them send me home. So I watched the clock hour by hour waiting till I thought I must be dilated far enough for them to take me. So once again we left at 8:30 a.m. and I prayed that I wouldn't be sent home!! And sure enough they let me stay!
After waiting through most the day it finally came time for her to come. Aaron was shocked, they had him help me push during contractions while the nurse ran to get the doctor. . . haha talk about a crazy experience. But after 40 or so minutes she was here!!! Weighing 6 lbs 12 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. I just can't explain the feeling of seeing the doctor lift her up and exclaim how petite she was!! It was so amazing to see her for the first time, to finally put a little face to those few months of little punches and kicks. And not to mention we were shocked that she had a full head of super dark brown hair!! lol, absolutely adorable, but unexplainable lol (Aaron and I were both bald as babies).
And now 3 weeks later, I can't believe how much we have grown to love this little girl! Everyday she wraps us even tighter around her little fingers with her coos, smiles, and even sad cries. We are just so excited to be parents to such a perfect little doll!

Wow so it has been forever since I've posted anything. And quite a bit has happened.
This past summer Aaron and I found out that I am pregnant!! It was the most amazing news. We were (and are still) so excited about it, we couldn't keep it a secret for very long. We found out about two months ago that we are having a baby girl!! Haha, and the technician said that she is tall and skinny . . . lol what a surprise :) We couldn't be more thrilled. Seeing her in the sonograms has been so amazing, I think I get teary eyed every time I get to see her and hear her little heart beat!! It has been absolutely amazing. And best yet, Aaron got to feel her move last week!! I was so excited for him, because he has just been listening to me explain how crazy it is to feel her, but now he actually can feel her!! And it helps reality set in a little bit better for both of us now too.
Well so school started 6 weeks ago . . . and it's been alright. I have to admit I am extremely distracted and can't focus, but besides that it's bearable, especially since this is my last semester before I graduate :)
Aaron is chugging along in school as well, he has a little bit longer than me before he finishes. He is taking some tough classes, but enjoying the sciency nature of it all. He is also still working as an optometric assistant, which he loves.
We just moved a few weeks ago into a smaller apartment. It was very practical, considering our old landlords were going to raise the rent, and this place is closer to campus too (and not to mention 2 blocks from my sister's house). We were both a little hesitant at first, but with all of our furniture and decorations (and I can paint!) it is coming around very cutely! I think the best way to describe it is very homey and cozy, which is just perfect for me!!!

LIFE

So Aaron and I have been married for 11 months now!!! That is completely insane: time has really flown. But we are really enjoying the married life. School has only about 1 1/2 weeks left, and then finals, but we are really anxious for this winter semester to be over with. I am thinking though of adding another minor... hopefully mom and dad won't kill me. I am debating on adding a Computers and Humanities minor. It's really interesting and deals a lot with design layout, print publishing. I've learned some really awesome things in one class that I am taking. It would delay me another semester in graduating, so I would take a full 5 years! oh hurray..... that seems like forever.
Aaron still loves his job at the Optometrist office, he is learning a ton, and loving the job. He isn't going to take spring summer classes so he is really excited about the end of this semester coming up.
I wish we were more exciting; I feel like this is really boring... but oh well
